Virtually every scientific journalpublishes editorials or other opinion articles that accompany research articles or other re-ports or that present views and perspectives of the editors of the journal related toapublishedarticle, current issue, or jour-nal policy. The most effective editorials are concise and de-tailed, authoritativeandscholarly, and insightful and thought-provoking.
