Abstract—The paper presents a low-cost, phase-current reconstruction algorithm for space vector modulated direct torque controlled induction motor using the information obtained from only one shunt resistor which is in series with low side switches in a conventional three-phase inverter. The aim is to develop a low-cost high- performance induction motor drive. It uses the dc-link voltage and dc current to reconstruct the stator currents needed to estimate the motor flux and the electromagnetic torque.
