Abstract- The heat shock response is seen when cells are exposed to extremes of thermal environment, which may be acute or chronic. The heat shock response is featured by increased expression of heat shock proteins (HSPs). One such key stresses is extreme cold environment as seen in Antarctica. The Antarctic continent on the planet Earth is full of environmental challenges. It is considered as natural stress model.
