Abstract: This work proposes query optimization model using caching for Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs). In the recent era, the proliferation of mobile devices increases the high traffic on Internet. Furthermore, the large number of smart-mobile devices is capable to carry considerable amount of data with them. Increasing storage capability of mobile devices has inspired us to perform effective query optimization on mobile database systems, where small part of the central database can be cached on local mobile database for performing faster query processing.
