The concept of control Lyapunov function has proven a useful tool for designing robust control laws for nonlinear systems. Recently, this concept has been extended to time-delay systems in the form of Con-trol Lyapunov Razumikhin functions and Control Lya-punov Krasovsky functionals (CLKF). Universal for-mulas, such as Sontag's formula and domination re-design formula, apply to CLKF's and achieve robust-ness properties that include innite gain margin. In this paper we illustrate the application of a CLKF based design on a model of turbocharged diesel en-gine with exhaust gas recirculation valve that includes intake-to-exhaust transport delay. 1
