Abstract: This project utilizes the RFID tags to automate the checkout process by building a system that could read the RFID signals of all the objects that were placed in proximity to an antenna. This eliminates the need for barcode scanning of each individual item, making checkout a significantly faster experience. The resulting ‘RFID Checkout System ’ will enable consumers to instantly pay for their entire purchase upon arrival at the register, increasing customer satisfaction, reducing retailer costs, and ultimately lowering consumer prices.
