This report reflects two major advances for Albania- the first study produced by the country’s new Social Research Center, and the first locally produced comprehensive analysis of adolescents. These two achievements demonstrate just how far Albania has progressed in 12 years. The Social Research Centre illustrates the importance the government gives to its human resources. And making adolescents the subject of the first report is a symbolic illustration of their major role in the country’s development – crucial in the youngest country in Europe.
