The aim of this study was to investigate the association between measures of cognition and level of community integration 7 to 24 years after moderate/severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). Subjects were recruited from in-patient health records of a large rehabilitation hospital in Pennsylvania. Eligible subjects were traced and then invited to participate in a face-to-face interview which included the Community Integration Scale (CIQ), and cognitive tests such as Trails A & B, the Rivermead Story Recall subtest, and the Neurobehavioral Cognitive Status Exam (NCSE).
