Abstract- The purpose of this paper is to design and construct variable DC power supply for laboratory using switch mode DC to DC converter. The regulated power of a variable output voltage ranging is from 0 to 36 V with a maximum output current of 3A is presented in this paper. This variable DC power supply is based on the step-down and step-up output voltage process which use both buck and boost converter topologies. A switching converter comprise of capacitors, an inductor, a diode and a switch. DC power supply is an essential device for most of electrical circuits and engineering students.
