In a multivariate model investigating risk factors for growth faltering at six months (Table 1), we found two factors (low birth weight and maternal height less than 150cm) were associated independently with the odds of growth faltering at six months (p-values<0.01). Illness was also associated with faltering at six months of age with the effect modified by gender
