This work presents the newly developed three-dimensional parallel hydrodynamics code TraMP together with a generic C++ library for automatic parallelization of fi-nite difference schemes on structured grids. Furthermore we present two astrophysical applications, namely the problem of oscillating n-dimensional polytropes and exten-sive studies on the evolution of circumbinary disks including the accretion process and spectral distribution of the emitted energy. TraMP is based on the freely available POOMA library, which has been extensively extended and optimized for our needs.
