Abstract — The necessity of random number generators is found in numerous applications like simulations and test condition generation. Several applications like activation mechanisms for laser diodes require generators which produce binary random streams unequal to a uniform distribution. This paper describes a novel method of generating random numbers by combining uniform distributed random bits and calculating their probability transfer functions. The resulting small, fast and efficient generator is ready for the implementation into any ASIC or FPGA
