Abstract — The study for upper limb palsy child patients is the minority area among cerebral palsy patient researches. This paper presents an upper-limb-movement measurement system to assist doctors in judging children’s impairment degree. This system contains three parts: image capture process, image segmentation and the data classification processing. In the data classification processing, the traditional 3 measurement units including NTD, PPV and MU can not successfully distinguish between normal children and cerebral palsy children. Therefore, a new measure unit combined with NTD, PPV and MU is proposed in this paper. This system can work off-line or on-line.
