During the past decade, the silverleaf whitefly (Bemisa tabaci, Biotype B) has been relegated to a managed pest in Ari-zona. This was achieved through the de-velopment, adoption and implementation of management programs in a partnership between the University and growers. Growers are quick to adopt new guidelines that have been developed in response to pest crises and other significant events.
