Study on chiral resolution of some new potential β-blockers by capillary electrophoresis using β-cyclodextrine and modified heptakis(2,6-di-O-methyl)- and carboxymethylated β-cyclodextrins as the chiral selectors is described. In this study we screened 8 racemic compounds with alkoxymethyl group on the benzene ring derivatived from (2-hydroxyphenyl)ethanone. The results show that the influence of chemical structure plays very important role to fitting into the cyclodextrin’s cavity. The length of the chain and the presence of other one oxygen in chain achieve an enantiomeric separation. Addition of maltodextrine, concentration and type of cyclodextrine as chiral selector and run buffer type, affect also enantiomer’s resolution. Key words: β...
