The need for health care professionals to be aware of the reasons and the numerous health issues associated with Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is addressed here. Αim: The purpose of this study was to outline the significance of the health professionals ’ role while dealing with excised women. The method οf this study included bibliography research from both the review and the research literature, mainly in the “pubmed data base ” which referred to Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
