PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to assess the possibility of using different chemical dosimeters to measure the absorbed dose and to select a number of them for a kit, which can then be used to assess the radiation situation. This involved analysing the dosimetric characteristics of existing chemical dosimeters, discovering and inventing new chemical detectors of ionising radiation and optimising their dosimetric characteristics.
