Abstract: In this report, high quality SERS spectrum of p-hydroxybenzoic acid (PHBA) on silver-coated glass was presented, which provides more information than that from the silver aqueous colloids. This shows that the silver-coated glass is a highly SERS-active substrate. Since 1974, SERS was discovered by Fleischman[1]. The preparation of substrate with highly SERS-active has induced great interesting of many researcher [2.3.4.]. In this report, first, the PHBA was dissolved in water, then mixed with Ag hydrosols, after that the mixture was dropped on clean glass to form a coating solid film.
