Abstract: Background. Our objective was to develop and examine the psychometric properties of the Satisfaction With Cancer Information Profile (SCIP), a new measure designed to assess the extent to which patients with head and neck cancer (HNC) are satisfied with information received about their treat-ment. Methods. Patients with head and neck cancer (HNC) from 4 hospitals in the UK completed the SCIP before treatment and again 1 month after treatment. Psychometric properties of the measure were evaluated: internal consistency, subscale inter-correlations, discriminant validity, concurrent validity, and pre-dictive validity.
