A comprehensive review of the methods and biology of Dermatoglyphics is given by Cummins and Midlo (1943). A revised method for plantar formulation developed under the direction of Professor Norma Ford Walker of the University of Toronto is employed in this analysis. In the present report is presented a statistical analysis of palmar and plantar pattern frequencies of 309 Jewish people of Toronto and Chicago as compared with 124 non-Jewish Whites of the same areas.
