chapter is in two parts. The first discusses issues surrounding technological innovation, the emergence of e-HR and its impact on the HR role and function. The second part explores the use of e-HR in key HR processes. We begin with a ‘starter ’ or introductory case study. Unlike most case studies in this book, the case presents a futuristic view of the use of technology in HR in an attempt to get readers thinking about the changing nature of e-HR. The main case study at the end of the chapter uses a large company’s experience to draw together some of the key issues.
