Aims: To evaluate patient and physician views on an interactive telephone based monitoring system. Methods: Consecutive patients with established RA who met the entry cri-teria and were receiving one or more of methotrexate, sulphasalazine, alen-dronate and raloxifene were invited to participate in this study by the attend-ing rheumatologist. Participants phoned into an interactive intelligent tele-phone based monitoring system on a monthly basis.
