Abstract. Today, there is a variety of automotive constructions with different suspension designs that affect the character of running. Specific suspension may be more or less suitable for road and traffic conditions. Vehicle speed variations and acceleration can significantly affect cargo maintaining and passenger comfort, so these parameters were chosen for the object of the study. A method for recording and analyzing vehicle acceleration was developed and approbated. Vehicle suspension systems may be suitable for different motion modes and the road conditions and influences of the smoothness of running, handling and acceleration in the transverse direction.
