want to thank you for the invitation to address you today. Ethics in the health professions has been a special interest of mine for many years. I am proud to say that I had a hand in the development of the ethics program at the dental school at Creighton University. Of particular interest in my career has been not only the interpersonal ethics of the profes-sional patient relationship but also ethi-cal issues related to the entire health care system. So today I want to raise with you a question of the entire system. The ques-tion I want to raise is whether or not the current situation of oral health and oral health care in the United States is just.
