ABSTRACT: The cyanoacrile method, being a simple and effective method of reveal-ing fingerprints on various surfaces can be successfully applied in the case of old and poorly visible traces. The only obstacle in the wider application of this manner of visualisation of fingerprint traces is, in relation to certain surfaces, the necessity to use special expensive chambers and to add dyes (contrasting) to traces, especially on light and multi-coloured surfaces. That is why, it is advisable to use this method co-jointly with other, mainly chemical ones and not to solely rely on it. The paper presents the results of the research of effectiveness of revealing the traces of cyano-acrile glues on various surfaces
