Abstract: Modeling diagrams are used in Computer Science and Information Systems courses. Different tools are used for different paradigms of system development. The authors share their perspectives in using different modeling tools in systems analysis and design and database courses. They discuss paradigm related issues in programming languages. They suggest using the diagrams from both the paradigms (procedure centric and object oriented) with a view to enhancing the valu
