A Novel Planar-Sleeve-Dipole Antenna for DTV Application

Abstract — In this paper, we propose a novel planar-sleeve-dipole antenna for DTV application. The proposed antenna, which is operated from 443 MHz to 1230 MHz, is suitable for DTV (470 MHz to 860 MHz) applications. It consists of a four-layer PC board with five steps, two for sleeves, and three for planar dipole antenna with tuning patches. Details of the proposed antenna design and measured results are presented and discussed. Key Words —a new planar-sleeve-dipole antenna, DTV application
