Metallic ions contained in mining waters are dangerous pollutants representing at the sometime poten-tial sources of useful compounds. Significant levels of cadmium and lead have been reported in acid mine drainage (440–1.000 mg·L-1 for Cd(II) and 100–500 mg·L-1 for Pb(II)). The paper presents two methods for M(II) separation (M(II)=Cd and Pb) are proposed: • precipitate flotation of the Cd(II) and Pb(II) hydroxospecies in interaction with a cationic collec-tor, • M(II) sorbtion on Penicillinium c. support followed by flotation. For the each method the influence factors were studied (pH, molar ratio (Collector: CM(II)), M(II) concentration, flow gas, respectively biomass concentration.
