Biomechanics is a term that is widely used by physicians, prosthetists, or-thotists, and physical therapists to describe the mechanics of human loco-motion. It is a subject that involves many fields of knowledge, including anatomy, kinesiology, neurophysiology, mechanics, physics, and mathemat-ics.
