A Practical Study on Body Rest Facilities Utilization in Commercial Plaza

Abstract: Recently, a topic of how to create delightful atmosphere for outdoor space of shopping center by means of scheduling the activities to entertain visitors as they staying in. However, with respect to the main objects (i.e. chairs, bench, stairs, etc., resting facilities) as for providing the visitors as staying in the commercial plaza, optimal equipped rest facilities are in need. In this study by adopting natural observation and behavior mapping to study the subjects in the plaza of TIGER CITY shopping center. Several objects are put into consideration factors as studying the rest facilities that affected by the utilization, surrounding environment, other types of facilities, and the visitors. Consequently, highest utility rate for specific facilities are those able to watch the whole activities in the plaza, especial for those facilities located near to the entrance of the buildings. In common, people are prefer to chosen chairs as for supporting body in watching the activities, however the character of watchers prefer to stand nearby the platform and handrail as activities in processing by surrounding the stage rather than chosen chairs utilization before activity start. For the majority posture bearing is by sitting with two feet on the ground, yet, merely the children’s feet are suspended in midair or standing on the seats in stead. In this paper reveals human physical and mental requirements by satisfied with variety rest facilities fulfillment. With respect to upon view of point that whether able to fulfill people necessary by regarding facilities distribution, which content with a corresponding relationship of posture and body support types, moreover, of which deeply affected by personal conditions and attractive activitie
