Evaluation of the Coordinated Degree of Land use-Economy in Development Zones ─A Case Study of Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area1

Abstract: The purpose of the paper is to evaluate the coordinated degree of land use and economy in development zones in order to put forward relevant suggestions on land use and management of development zones. Mothods of documentary and statistical analysis were employed, and coordinated degree model was adopted to evaluate the coordinated degree between land use and economy, Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area was evaluated by this model as a case. The results suggest from the year 2000 to 2005 in BDA, the synthesis development indices of the land use and economy have been greatly improved, but the coordinated degree is uncoordinated in general. It is concluded that the level of land use should be suit the requirements of economy, the intensive level of land use should be further improved, to ensure the Development Area develops with coordinated and sustainable
