This note describes a Compton polarimeter for the FFTB undulator photon beam experiment at SLAC. Photons of a few MeV are scattered o polarized electrons in a thin ferromagnetic foil target. Photons are detected with a simple calorimetric detector which is mounted under a xed scattering angle behind a small collimator aperture. We have evaluated the expected performance of the device as a function of undulator collimation angle and of the Compton scattering angle
