The development of EuroTEPS, a targeted ensemble prediction system for Europe, is done as a part of the GLAMEPS project. GLAMEPS aims at an operational probabilistic forecasting system for the short range, with emphasis on reliable forecast probabilities for extreme weather events. EuroTEPS will provide initial and lateral boundary conditions for ensembles run with both the HIRLAM mode
