The paper has been intended to discuss the question of optimization of fatigue life of the PZL-130 Orlik structure. The PZL-130 Orlik is a light, two-seat, turboprop trainer to provide instruction and training in the flying skills. It is operated by the Polish Air Force. The fatigue damage of an aircraft structures depend on histories of their usage. The operational usage can be analysed based on on-board flight recorder data. The collected data can be used to calculate and optimize the fatigue life of the aircraft. A method of optimization of the process of selecting particular aircraft to perform various exercises in the course of pilot training has been presented in the paper.
