To acquire in-depth knowledge of the foundations of multivariate analysis and learn how to implement the basic algorithms in matrix language. The objective therefore is for students to learn how to identify the problems and implement their solutions independently: * Describe a set of variables, reduce their dimensionality, perform a multivariate visualization and extract the common factors. * Learn the normal multivariate distribution and its properties.
