Today's demands of reliable high data rate communication systems has met some obstacles in the form of fading channels. These channels are problematic to use and cause a huge performance loss if no countermeasures are taken. In this thesis it is investigated if the two coding schemes turbo codes and space-time codes can be combined into a turbo-space-time code and if this scheme is an eective way to combat at Rayleigh fading channels. It is shown that the combinations tried in this report are slightly outperformed by a normal space-time trellis code of comparative complexity on a slowly fading channel (quasi-static).
