A few challenges regarding the development of Large-Eddy Simulation as in-dustrial applications are reviewed and studied. The three-dimensional time-dependant Navier-Stokes equations are solved using the finite volume collocated code of EDF, namely Code Saturne. All the investigations are carried out with the classic Smagorinsky model on the channel flow case at .
