tion coefficient ABSTRACT- Hydrogen-fuelled internal combustion engines are attractive as they offer the potential of near-zero emissions, high efficiency, and zero greenhouse gas emissions. Com-puter simulation of the performance of such engines would enable a cheap and fast optimiza-tion of engine settings for operation on hydrogen. A model for the heat transfer between cyl-inder gases and combustion chamber walls is necessary for such a simulation and would im-prove the simulation program written by Verhelst [1].
