The paper is concerned with the resonance behaviour of a non-linear system composed of two parallel shafts coupled together by two cam mechanisms. It is found that there is significant qualitative influence of the motor constants on the system behaviour. At the resonance, there are two periodic attractors for the same value of the control parameter. Two catastrophic bifurcations are associated with each resonance. At the bifurcation points the system jumps from one periodic attractor to the other. 1
