Selected Bibliography on the Global Crisis of Internal Displacement

The idea for this bibliography on the global crisis of internal displacement arose in preparation for a course on internal displacement designed by Francis Deng at the City University Graduate Center of New York. Although the study of internal displacement is a relatively new one, substantial materials have emerged which are important to bring together and catalog. The attached compilation makes selections from materials available in English with several noteworthy publications in Spanish included as well. It is divided into both thematic and geographic categories. It is intended to prove useful to both scholars and practitioners interested in gaining a better understanding of internal displacement and the national, regional and international strategies being developed to address the needs of those displaced.
