We develop a numerical model for the prediction of the microstructure formation and deformation behaviour of an Fe-C alloy by coupling the phase-field (PF) method with the finite element method based on the homogenization method (FEH). The PF simulation clarifies the growth of the ferrite phase during the γ / α transformation in the Fe-C alloy. The FEH analysis employs the morphology of the α phase and is used to evaluate the mechanical properties of the Fe-C alloy. Furthermore, the FEH analysis is performed to investigate the effects of the configuration of microstructures on the deformation behaviour.
