Abstract: According to the remarkable mechanical property, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were grinded on a sheet of silver directly. Thus rough silver surface was obtained, at the same time, the CNTs attached to the rough silver surface. High quality Surface-enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) spectra were obtained from CNTs attached to the rough silver surface. At the present time, in the works on SERS of CNTs[1-6], CNTs were always ultra sonicated in solvent firstly, and then added into metallic colloidal clusters or dropped on rough metallic surface for forming the SERS system.
