This course covers the basic design, modeling, and analysis methods used in the construction of control systems. We start with a general introduction of control systems and its important role in systems design. Then, frequency-domain and time-domain control systems, and continuous and discrete control systems are described respectively. The course will use extensive computer projects to facilitate students to understand the fundamental issues and to gain hands-on experience in design, integration, and operation of control systems.
