Welcome to the 4th Annual Conference

e are very pleased and excited that you have joined us for a conference that showcases leaders and experts who will discuss current trends and realistic implementations of technology and standards. It’s always been, and will continue to be, about interoperability. True interoperability requires buy-in and participation from the entire eco-system though and takes significant time, resources, and effort to reach. Interoperability is proven to bring with it lower costs, enhanced customer service, improved data integrity, and with an ability to “plug and play”, a return on investment. Yet, a focus on technical interoperability will only get us so far. Conversations about interoperability today do not solely revolve around technology. Some would argue they don’t revolve around technology at all. Many of the technologies being used and implemented have existed for a while, like XML which is approaching its 10th year anniversary. Now more than ever before in higher education, many entities are not only looking to ensure results with accountability and success, but to measure them as well. The path to these policy and business results is only achievable through data-driven decision-making.
