WFS standards. Abstract: In order to create a geospatial data infrastructure (GDI), it is necessary to solve complex organizational, legal and technological issues. Currently, there is a number of multi-purpose commercial GIS, the most common of which are ArcGIS (www.arcgis.com), MapInfo (www.mapinfo.ru), GIS Panorama, etc. These GIS can store, manage, publish maps and map layers of indefinite scale and complexity. They have powerful functionality; through their use one can solve almost any application tasks.
