This Master Thesis covers the design and construction of a simulation model for a specific radar system. With this model, a complete evaluation of the entire radar system is feasible and thereby a thorough examination of the systems capabilities. The Thesis also investigates unknown characteristica of some radar components, e.g. the pulse compression modulation and the non-linearity of the Travelling Wave Tube (TWT)-amplifier. The model is developed by theoretical analysis, evaluation of the specific radar schematics and examination of some radar hardware measurements.
