Graduation date: 1996The purpose of the study was to investigate process and\ud stability issues in intermarried families utilizing data\ud from a group of American Indian intermarried families and a\ud group of endogamous European American families. Stability\ud issues such as marital satisfaction and overall problem\ud solving were investigated by comparing scores between the\ud two groups. Process issues such as the participation and\ud the coalition practices related to intermarriage were\ud investigated by comparing scores between the two groups and\ud analyzing in more depth the gender and ethnic data of the\ud parents in the American Indian intermarried group.\ud Supplementary qualitative analysis was also supplied by\ud focus groups...
