A state variable transient circuit analysis using sparse matrices is devel-oped. The equations are formulated using time discretization based on New-ton’s iterative method of equations of the nonlinear part of the circuit. The system thus formed is an algebraic system of linear equations. The program uses advanced numerical techniques, such as automatic differentiation for cal-culating the Jacobian of the system. The program is tested by simulating a Soliton line and a Wideband amplifier. The results of this analysis is compared to those obtained from SPICE, and conclusions are made. i
