Serum samples from 9 healthy controls and from subjects with primary hyperparathyroidism (n = 5), Paget disease (n = 3), pregnancy (n = 5), glucocorticoid therapy (n = 5), postmenopausal osteoporosis (n = 10), and renal failure (n = 10) were used to assess the clinical agreement among eight commercially available assay kits for osteo-calcin (OC). These kits differ in their assay configurations (six radioimmunoassays, two immunoradiometric as-says), standards (five bovine, three human), and antibod-ies (six polyclonal, two monoclonal). Individual results were divided by the mean OC of the control subjects for each assay and expressed as percentage deviations. The expected wide variation in absolute OC concentrations between kits was only par...

The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate the bone turnover by using bone metabolic markers ...
Dsteocalcin RIA (Nichols). All of them presented accept-bIe values of variance, sensitivity, and seri...
We have developed and thoroughly validated radioimmu-noassays (AlAs) for osteocalcin in plasma and s...
The purpose of this study was to estimate clinical validity of a new available immunoradiometric ass...
The study was designed to assess the sensitivity of three commercial assays (which differ in methodo...
BACKGROUND: Circulating human osteocalcin (hOC) has been used as a marker of bone formation. Our aim...
We assessed the serum concentration of gamma-carboxylated osteocalcin (OC), total OC, and full-lengt...
We developed a competitive chemiluminoimmunoassay of osteocalcin that is similar to radioimmunoassay...
A heterologous ELISA for measurement of osteocalcin (bone Gla-protein) is described, involvingbiotin...
The purposes of this study were threefold: (1) to compare values obtained by three conventional radi...
