Abstract: In this paper, we use the homotopy perturbation method to find the travelling wave solutions for the generalized nonlinear Hirota- Satsuma coupled KdV equations. The results reveal that the homotopy perturbation method is very effective, convenient and quite accurate to systems of nonlinear equations.It is predicted that the homotopy perturbation method can be found widely applicable in engineering and physics
